Electric Shift 250EX?

My wife really loves riding our Recon ES, but wants a little more power and something easier to jump. We have a 250EX but she really hates to shift with her foot. Since the 01 250EX and the 02 Recon have the same motor, would it be possible to add electric shift to the 250EX. If so, how would you do it?

I don't see any reasons that the swap wouldn't work, but it may not be cost effective to it. I haven't ran across this request yet.
Call your local dealer and tell them what you are interested in doing and tell them to call you back later with a price on parts only. There will be alot of parts to do it...including the wiring harness, handlebar switch assembly, Rear engine cover, shift shaft, electric servo motor, and other misc. parts.
Good luck on your project. If you go through with it, let us know how it does on the EX.

Thanks guys,
I've already modded the 250EX (Big Gun exhaust, K&N, modified airbox, and rejetted) So it's quite a bit stronger than the Recon. My daughter's getting the Recon and my wife wants something sportier so I thought an electric shift EX would meet her needs nicely, Otherwise I'll have to sell the Ex and get her a Polaris.
