I'm working for a guy right now that has a 1987 honda 250x he is thinking about selling. It has 4 flat and bald tires, 1 bent rim and faded plastic. It runs good (I drove it when the tires held air) and everything else seems to be in good order. I want to buy it to fix it up. I just hate seeing the quad go to waste. So do you guys know about how much the quad in this condition would be worth?

if the tires are bald he probabraly beat the ***** off of that thing, but its up to you.

 

Actually, bald tires is what every atv will encounter with use. It in no way suggests that the atv was abused. The bent rim is from driving the quad around with flat tires. Thanks for replying anyways.

I would give him a low ball offer say like $500 and see what he counters with. He may be happy with that and sell it to you.

If I was to guess, without seeing it myself, I wouldn't give him more than $1,200. It'll probably cost you to get it in good enough shape to get the blue book value.

I baught a '91 250X 2 years ago with a supertrapp exhaust, perfect plastic, and good tires, the only thing wrong with it was the rear wheel bearings were out and i only gave 1200 for it, I wouldnt go nomore than about 650 or 700.

I sold my 87' 250X for $2000 two years ago in excellent cond.
It sold the first day the ad came out.

 

I sold my 250X in september for 1600 I had like new realitors on the back, bandits on front, white brothers cam, piston. Decent shape definately not a looker but ran really strong. Sold the second day I was trying to sell it. They are good machines and still worth some money.

 

My brothers sold in a little less than a week for $1800.


new surtracs on back bald on front, nerfs, cracked but repaired frame by the front shocks. cracked and repaired engine case from a bad chain. cracked rear fender, burnt through by the dg pipe.. I dont think i coulda taken 1800 for it from anyone.. maybe like 1000
