are the titan 589s and the itp589s the same?? does anyone know the tread depth on these tires. i want to know because i have a rancher with an 11" wheel you can buy the titans but not the itps for that wheel.

They are slightly different but very close in tread design. I think the tread depth is 1 1/4 inch deep. I prefer the Titan over the ITP but that is only personal preference. If you want a great mud tire and do not want the rough ride of the 589, check out the Goodyear Mudrunner. The Mudrunner will be my next tire. Good luck with your decision.

well itp makes one kind of 589, the 589 m/s. these are what i am getting. however titan makes 3 that i know of. 589 m/t wich are just like the m/s but weigh more bause of those "anti suctin bars". AT589 same as m/t but not the "maximum traction" bars. LSW589 M/T are supposed to have more bite, but look like they have less room between the rim and the top of the tire. out of all of them i picked the itp 58 because they are light on my grizz and lighter on my wallet. tread depth i would say around 1 3/4 inches. i just odered them yesterday so i didn't get thm.

I hate to do this, but i am going to "knock" the mudrunners a little. They are a good tire, but i have ran with a buddy that has these and they DID gto where i did. The big difference was that there is no side lugs. It might not really even matter to most riders, but when riding a trail that has deep sloppy ruts, the only way to pull out was with a tire that had the side lugs on it. When he was running the trail, the front tires would come out but the rears would stay in the tracks and his bike would run down the trail sideways. As far as DEEP mud goes...if you have the engine to turn them, i think that any deep lug will work. Yes, some better than others. I chose the dirt devils because of price, side lugs, weight, and good looks. I think the only reason that they run a lil cheaper is because they are newer to the market and are trying to get some followers. Well, they have me now. I love them and stand by them.
One other thing, they are 6 ply...and that just cant be beat as far as i am concerned. I ride alot of sapplings over and always running through clear cut. I dont want to ever have to fix a flat if i dont have too.
Hope ta help and not cause more confusion!
