if you had a choice and not because your a honda fan which would you guys rather have? also please tell me why you chose either of the four wheelers.

i like the z it has the awsome handling of the ex but a lil more power and has more potential

I would get the 400ex now(proven machine) and wait for one year and then get the Z (unproven machine).

I haven't had any problems with my 01 Raptor, but I should have waited for the 02 model.

Learn from my mistake and wait.

I am sure the Z is great,but 1st year quads have kinks yet to be ironed out.The 400ex is a proven fun machine.

 

In case some of you haven't heard as of late there is also a KFX-400, they are identical in every way but color, one yellow, one lime green. I also spoke with a guy that had two brand new ones at the dunes and he loved them at the beginning of the day but by the end of the day he was making adjustments left and right. I have recently bought a 2002 400ex. I got it with a 3 year warranty for just under 4800 bucks. I saw the 2003 z400 for 3900 bucks, not bad but I would personally give it a little time before I ran out and bought one. We all know the EX is dependable but what do we know about the Z or the X? Let them test it and get the bugs out.

 

$3900 for a z400? It must be parked right next to the 2003 trx250r.

If I had the money, I would skip the 400ex and go for a 02 raptor. I would get the 400ex over the Z because of unproven reliability. It if proves to be reliable, I would get the next model z, even then, I would skip it for a 02 raptor any day.
