400ex sand tires?

I know this has been discussed many times before, but, here's my thoughts.
Depending on how you ride can be a factor in what tire you get.
I know many people don't think so, but the fact is that the "V" paddles were designed for better turning. They don't hookup as well for straight-away drag racing as straight paddles. So, if drag racing is the thing you want to do most, go for straight paddles.
I'm a "play" rider and cruise the dunes and run "V" paddles as do most of my group. Plenty of hookup to get you up the biggest dunes and lots of "slide" for the turns. There is a guy in our group that runs straight paddles and he has no problem turning, but when he rides one with "V"s he slides all over and has to compensate for it.
Next, don't get too many paddles for your quad; too many paddles require more horsepower to spin them. Most people just get 8 paddles for their quads which is good for a wide range of quads/engines. If you run mega horsepower, and want to drag race, you'll want more paddles. In your case, stick with 8 paddles.
Brands of tires can lead to lots of argueing and I don't want to do that. I, personally, prefer Sand Skates and GBC tires as they are molded and to me last longer. I'm not about to knock Skat Traks, but prefer the others. Skat Traks are buffed tires with vulcanized paddles and are really great tires.
I also prefer to run 20 x 10 x 10. Decent ride with little sidewall flex.
Front tires, I just run knobbies and have been doing so for many years without problems. With the ***** on front, I only have to keep extra rear tires for when I ride dirt.
