Mobil 1 does have a two-stroke oil. http://www.mobil1.com/motorcycle/index.jsp I have seen it at auto zone. Acutally walmart had it here and put all of their Mobil 1 on clearance and so I bought 20 quarts of their 20W-50 V-twin oil for 3.00 a quart. Someone else scooped up the MX2T

I read the "oil test" and BTW that is not a scientific test by any stretch of the imagination. He simply ran oils in one bike over time. You CANNOT do a statistical analysis of this. While it is interesting, there is no replication so you cannot make any inferences from it. It sounds like he simply had a viscometer laying around and wanted to try it.

Toss the air box lid, you don't need it!! You'll see much better performance and after you toss the lid, you're jetting may be dead on. Go with a good aftermarket air filter as well, K&N or a Uni filter, etc. I'd also invest in the air box rings, these assure you get no blow by around where the air filter attaches to the air box.

Uni-filter (red foam) already there Also, son and I just drilled 1/4 holes in the lid on 2/3 of the lid (#30 total holes), well see if it makes it better

Thanks

UPDATE:
Drilled the hole lid now with 1/4 holes, and still nothing. Checked float and the bottom of the carb, it "looks clean". My neighbor said he runs 52-1 mix to lean out his 250r atc, true??

You gotta stick with one fuel/oil mix. Don't keep changing, just causing more problems. Get one, stick with it, tune.
You can probably by now start seeing some major improvements in the way the engine is running, and if you drilled lots of holes (1/4" isn't big enough, try 1" or just toss the lid) and it should run really well by now.

The atc runs great in my opinion, even sounds better but its just the plug What mixture do you run? Do you recommend I run 32-1,40-1,52-1? I am running Castor #726 (I think, full synth oil)

I run a full synthetic, AMSOIL S2000 at the recommended 50:1 ratio. The 927 is not a synthetic blend, it's a castor based oil if I recall.

That must be new, the only 100% synthetic 2 stroke oil I knew Maxima had was the K-2, maybe this stuff replaced it but to be honest I haven't kept up with what Maxima offers anymore. It sounds like it would work fine, just mix at the ratio it recommends, AMSOIL says to mix at 50:1 for their S2000 oil so that's what ratio I've been using.
