I flipped my 2002 300EX this weekend going up a rocky hill and besides smashing my knee up I bent the clutch handle a little bit. What is the best way to bend it back. Should I attempt to bend it still attached or should I take it apart? If taking it apart is the way to go, is it a difficult job to take the clutch handle off? Thanks for any advise.

PS - Is there a possibilty I could break the handle while bending it?

Take the handle off and put the end that goes into the perch in a vice. Take a piece of pipe or a wrench and slide it over the end and VERY slowly straighten it. If you go too fast it can break. Slow and steady is the best way. If it is not bent too bad, you can try to straighten it on the bike. Emgo aftermarket levers are $3-5, so why not have an extra just in case.

if its bent, heat it up, and bend it until you only have to use 2 fingers, letting you hold on with more fingers. thats what my friend did to his kx80, he bent it, so he bended it into a semi-circle..
