opinions on tires for my 300ex
#1
I am ready to buy a new set of rear tires for my 2002 300ex,and I want some advice on what to buy.Im thinking maxxis Razr, mudsharks, or Fast Trekkers.Which would be the best for hardpack, some sand,(just for sm. local riding) and has good sliding ability??Also, some jumping. Thanks .... Definately NOT Mudsharks, too aggressive for play riding, and stiff, like Blackwaters. Razors, good all around, great handling. A guy a rode with had a 250x,basically the same as your 300, and he ran Maxxis Sur Tracks on back, great grip, trail rode nice, and can be reversed for sand/snow or dirt/mud. Just stay away from 6 ply ratings, all the extra weight will drag down the ex's power. Another guy I rode with had Fast Trekkers on his Banshee, he really liked them, but the way he rode that thing,he burnt up a set of tires almost every year !!!

Yeah,My Daughter has Fast Trekkers on her 90cc, and she loves them, and I have heard of them on a few 300ex,but they were also running 18in., and I know what that will do to power..I like to climb, and Im right on the verge of needing a bigger quad as it is,so I dont want to lack power.I cant remember what the Sur tracks look like. Are they Rocky mountains catalog?I have one ill have to look. The Fast Trekkers are 4ply,so I should be more than fine with those,Im using a 2 ply right now. Thanks for the info..
