My Rubicon has about 1400 miles. So far it's been a good machine. Not to long ago however, when shifting from neutral to drive[d1 or d2] the diplay wouldn't show it's normal D. The transmission is in gear because it will still drive, but the variable transmission does not vary.Rpms go up,but it stays stuck in low range unless I wiggle shifter until D is displayed. This is now happening often and becoming annoying.Anyone had this type of problem? If so ANY and ALL help will be appreciated. I think it may be the gear position switch but not certain.

More than likely its the linkage on the shifter lever. There are some nuts on there that allow adjusting.

How would it get out of adjustment? Nothing seems loose. How do I know which one to adjust and which way, if it is out of adjustment?
