Well I got some extra money and i was wondering what to buy for my 250 to give it some more power. I want the most bang for the buck. I'm thinking of a pipe(fmf megamax 2) or a k&n power kit. What do you think i should get or is there something better than just a pipe and filter??

I think you should go with a supertrapp IDS2 it is a really good price on rocky mountain ATV. its only $189 and my friends has it but he also got the headpipe but the headpipe cant make a huge difference all i know is that it is a nice pipe.

 

A MegaMaxII, K&N, and a rejet did wonders for out Recon!! You may or may not want to vent the airbox (if vented it will no longer be waterproof).

 

Definatly go with the Supertrapp over the MegaMaxII. I have had both pipes and the Supertrapp was a much better pipe, it gave more power all across the board. If you get a filter go with UNI or twin air, some type of foam filter. Jet kits are allright but not worth the money, since your looking for most bang for your buck, just buy some jets and save a $hit load of $$.

You can cut a bigger hole in the snorkel for more airflow, without worrying about getting water in your motor like venting the airbox.

It is a 2001 honda recon. Witch pipe is louder because i hunt and dont want to be to loud?? I don't want to cut any holes in the airbox because i ride alot of water and why go with a foam filter?? Anyway thanks for the replies.
