Questions for those with lift kits?
#1
I was thinking that the new highlifter tires look pretty awesome. I was thinking about gettin a set of the 25 or 26 inch tires when they come out, but I also want a lift kit for my ATV. Its a Honda 300 4x4 and with the rocks and deep mud around here it leaves a lot to be desired. I was wondering how much it affected the power of the 300 with the bigger tires, and how much worse the ride got after putting the lift kit on, does it feel more top heavy? Any other info would be good too.

Anytime you go to a larger diameter tire, you will lose some power. I have a stock 300 with 25" vampires on 12" wheels and a Highlifter lift. It was the best thing I ever did, besides the winch. I have 25's and can spin them fine. But, the folks I ride with that went to 26's pretty much have to stay in 1st gear and in very sticky, deep mud and facing a slight incline, have sometimes failed to turn them at all. But, they still run them. I cannot feel any more of a tipping sensation, but the fact is the CG is higher. I really helps me in the front end avoiding ruts that used to hang me up. Hope that helps.
