I was wondering what everyone else used to clean their ATVs with. I usually just use reagualar car soap and water on the plastic, and steel metal, but on the aluminum parts I get some spray on aluminum wheel cleaner then scrub those parts as best I can.

I haven't the slightest idea on how to clean one and do a real good job. I can detail a car, and from time to time use some cool little tricks that I learned doing that, but it doesn't do as good a job with as much mud and grime that gets collected on my four wheeler.

Anybody with some neat little tips on cleaning it up and giving it that look like it just came off the show room floor?

You cannot get the scratches out, but here is the best trick I have found...and the "lazy" way.
Once you have cleaned the bike good, I use a low pressure washer and elbow grease...spray the bike down with tire foam lightly and let it sit for 5 or 10 minutes...DO NOT GET ANY ON YOUR SEAT OR GRIPS!!!!......you will be amazed how good it looks. You may need to lightly wipe it down if you get bad runs or misses. I usually spray the underside and enginewith WD40...shines it and protects it and makes clean up after the next ride much easier. Did this for years with my TRX300 and it looked great when I let it go.

I once saw a wheel cleaning brush that would be perfect for cleaning atvs. I am trying to find one in stores but cant. Its a cone shaped brush with 2'' bristles the brush lenth is about 1ft 6"
its perfect for getting that clay and crap out of small areas.

Spray STP on the plastic when done washing it. This keeps the mud from stick to it as bad. It works good. But after each wash you need to reapply it.
