KNOWSALOT, i wonder why the ES has more electrical problems than the S. maybe because the ES is electric shifting and thats electric. aha does that ring a bell KNOWSALOT. and the S is just straight forward manual.

I GOT A 450 ES AND PUT 3000 MILES ON IT AND IT MESSED UP LIKE I THINK IT WAS ABOUT 6 TIMES IT GOT WATER IN IT OR GOT JAMMED. SOMETIMES MUD WILL GET CLOGGED IN IT AND IT WONT PUSH AND YOU HAVE TO SPRAY WATER ON IT. YOU CAN'T CATWALK IT OR POP THE GEARS IN THE MUD OR WATER. I OWN A REGULAR 450 S AND I LOVE IT POPPING THE GEARS IN THE MUD CAN MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD. I HOPE I HELPED YOU.

I have 4 ES Recons, and I have never had ANY type of problems with ANY of them.I HIGHLY recommend the ES,especially since Honda only adds 200 bucks to the price.

I've has pretty good luck with my Rancher ES. It's not been perfect though, a stick broke the reverse switch sensor( disabling reverse untill it was fixed ) and mine seems to require a healthy battery charge.
