Look how fast Polaris ATVs surpassed Polaris snowmobiles as their #1 selling product! Yamaha sells more quads than sleds as well, Arctic Cat.....well to new to tell yet. Unseat Honda though? No way, their reputation and reliability is carved in stone. They are awfully hard to beat, but...never say never if the right machines come along from the other manufacturers. TF

Potentone,I'd be very careful how you say NEVER.Think back when folks NEVER thought any other manufactures would come close to the same marketplace in sales as General Motors?????NEVER say NEVER....BILL

I wish I had the number of how many machines Honda and Polaris sold. Then I would know what the distance is. But I think Polaris could have passed Honda if Honda wouldn't have came out with anything new recently. The 400EX started the whole thing, which is selling like crazy, the Ranchers are selling before the dealers can get em, and the Rubicon I know is gonna be a huge seller! That and the upcoming larger sport quad, Honda is really putting their engineers to work. If Yamaha comes out with a new sport machine with their YZ400 motor and maybe a new big bore utility or just a revised Grizzly with liquid cooling, and a 400cc or larger Wolverine, they have the possibility of getting their second place position back. All I know is there are some awesome machines on the way!

I think Polaris ATVs are great...fun as hell, I own a trailboss 250...but too bad it doesn't run right now...(mysteriously won't spark)..

I don't think Polaris even comes CLOSE to Honda when it comes to reliability....but I do see that Polaris is trying, they now have four stroke models...and even manual ATVs, they are up to something...

thats my two cents - Trent

Reliability--probaly not
Sales--it's just a matter of time

Here in Teaxs they had the #1 spot for a few years, but I don't know about '98 or '99, never checked.
