I'm thinking about putting insurance an my two atv's and was wondering if anybody knew anything about that sort of thing.

 

How much did it cost and do you have to insure everybody that rides your atv?

 

I agree with Scotster750 on the insurance. Mine is the same way, same coverage(policy). Everything that applies to my automobiles applies to my four wheeler.

My insurance covers whoever drives it. It's the four wheeler itself that is covered not the driver/s.

My cost of insurance is $240 dollars a year. My insurance bases it on the engine displacement(432cc) and initial cost of purchase.

I called my homeowners insurance and fond out that it only covers equipment such as lawnmowers with limits.So i called the folks that have my auto insurance,told them how man cc's it was and how much i wanted to insure it for and got a pleasent suprise.These things can be insured just like cars with liability,medical,comp,colision,and whatever else.The comprehensive covers theft,fire vandalism, so that is what i got.Mainly for the theft.I had to get comp,and collision b/c they come as a package,with my insurance company anyway.But the collision will cover just like a auto plan would.
It's something important to think about.

I have mine through PROGRESSIVE only $125 per year they vary widely check around don't take first quote.Check phone book for agents that carry motorcycle insurance.

 

My insurance is with Shelter.I've been with them for about 5 years and have 2 auto's insured so they give me a multi car discount.On my 300 ex the yearly cost with 250/500 deductible is 86.00.

I agree with whoever said to call around,b/c i went to purchase insurance for my 81 cb750 and they wanted twice as much as geico.
