400EX OR WARRIOR??

IF money is not a factor, then there is no contest. You have a newer design in the 400 & an outdated design in the warrior. NO CONTEST, the Honda by far. Also if money is a concern, then I would still go with the HONDA, still no contest.

Take 2 400EX's and post your repair list in 10 years. Or better yet, just post your list to present. You can bet your last dollar that someone if not you, has a longer list for their EX than my buddy has for his '91 Warrior.
I was not saying the Warrior is faster or better handling, just tougher built. The EX is the better performer out of the crate, no question. I just wanted to bring modding the Warrior to his attention.

The only reason a 400EX would have reliablity problems would be because it can be ridden 10 times harder than a Warrior. Anyone who thinks a Warrior is reliable, must ride like a woman. That's about all they'll hold up to.

It amazes me how tension rises when comparing different brands of ATVs. I guess that's our egos being expressed. No matter what brand you buy, just see if you can ride both and make a decision. Your comparing two very differnt classes of ATVs. For sport-utility the Warrior leads its class. High-performance, tentatively the Bombardier DS 650 is running that show. Sorry 400ex... I don't mention the Banshee, because I feel two-strokes are in a different class of its own. I'm a four-stroke kind of guy. Just my opinion....

I have a 2000 400ex and love it! One of the guys I go riding with has a Warrior and he is very happy with it.I have rode his quad several times and almost bought a Warrior myself, and then decided to get a 400ex.The Honda has more power and handles better.
the Honda does'nt have reverse, but so far that has not been a problem. For me I'm very happy with the decision I made. You need to ride both quads and decide for yourself.

When I bought my 2000 Warrior in Sep 99 I only had it for two weeks when I rode a 400EX, and it only took that one ride to realize I should have bought it over the Warrior. So for 6 months I kicked myself until selling my Warrior just yesterday, and today now have a 2000 400EX in my garage. Don't get me wrong though, my Warrior was an excellent machine (with added mods) and I didn't have a single problem with it, but it just wasn't what I wanted...especially when looking two years into the future. I can't say though which machine would be best for you, all I can suggest is to ride both and then make a decision--you're the one who has to live with that choice.
