Which atv's ahve true 4WD?

The only 4x4 quads manufactured today that supply all 4 wheels with power is the Suzuki King Quad.Polaris 4x4 quads also give you the same benefit of power to all 4 wheels WHEN the AWD is activated.[rear wheels spin faster than the fronts]The AWD system on my Sportsman works flawlessly and provides me with 4 wheel power. The Traxter has a torque sensing front end. While it is an improvement over limited slip differentials,it is still not a true 4x4 system.=====BILL

This could be defined in a bunch of ways but for the only TRUE 4wd, only the Suzuki King Quad & Quadrunner 250 can take that title. Polaris's have both fronts spinning, but not when going downhill. At least not going downhill slowly, you would have to do the suicide run to get the wheels to spin going down.
Only those two. Why is that I wonder. Your only choices with that differential lock are a 300 and a 250. Why can't somebody put this on a larger quad?

Bill, I believe the Arctic Cat 300 4X4 has the identical front end of the King Quad; however, for product liability concerns, I suppose, Arctic Cat does NOT supply the linkage enabling front differential locking.
Thus, I would change "essen's" statement, substituting the word "modify" where "adjust" is used.
Whoops! I see essen discloses the modification procedure in the following post! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and experience, essen!
