You want speed? You bought the wrong machine. You want a very reliable, Tear a house down quad? You bought the right machine. I have a '98 450s and it works great in bog, deep mud, sand pits pretty much everything I can throw at it.

You want more speed? Here are some tips:

1. Get larger tires. This will change your overall final drive ratio. To notice the difference you'll have to get the speedo recalibrated, or measure it against a car or truck.

2. K&N power kit (filter and jets) helped mine alot.

3. Exhaust? maybe, I raplaced mine only after it wore out.

4. I have a Warn 424 kit on mine, but your 2003 already has that option.

Do you mean the welds broke inside the muffler and it rattled?? I've seen this before, if it happens to my brother's i think he's gonna get a aftermarket one (Big Gun, supertrapp IDS...)

Yes exactly, welds broke and it rattles as well as being a fair bit louder. I'm not sure yet, but I'm looking at White Bros, or FMF so far.

I got a question for you action450s: how many KM's do you get on a tank of gas? my brother only gets 80-85 MAX. on his, 2 other people that have new 450's say they get 115 and 120 KM to a tank of gas. Are they BS'ing us or what??

Also he's looking at trading it in on a sp500,600, or 700. (year no intrest no payments) his does 79km/h how 'bout your's?

I still get on average 120-150 km's per tank even though the speedometer is off a little. Top speed as read on the speedometer was 82 km/h, but I need to test it against another quad with stock tires to see what the difference is.
