Mud Sharks
#2
I bought my 400ex used. It had a brand new set of mud-sharks on it. I rode and raced hare scrambles on them all summer. I had one hole appear in the sidewall during a real rocky race. I rode two laps on the flat. Pluged it and it was fine. Extremly tough tire. But not the best choice for a sport machine. Work great in the mud. I switched to Maxis alltracks because there a better all around tire. But if your looking for a tough mud tire Mud sharks are great. My sharks still have most the tread and Im selling them for 60.00

Stump, I have got some 26x12x12rear 26x9x12fronts on my 2000 450es. I have had them since the mid-part of September. So far I am very pleased with them. They have done very good in the rocks and the mud. We still havent gotten any snow to speak of but I'm sure that they will do just as well.
I feel like they are alot better tire in the mud than the Blackwater XT. They also ride softer on hardpack. The MudSharks were actually my second choice, the first being the Titan 589 but when I wanted the tires no one could come up with a set for sell. I think that they are available now.

Check out the Dirtwheels Feb. issue. The Rocky Mountain ATV ad has them at pretty good prices if you are still in the market for 589's. They have from 25" to 27".
