Default Honda Let's Goooooo!

The other day when all my ranting started I replied to most of the post against the EX because I was fired up! That doesn't happen often on message boards... Just replying.

I remember reading about that 50hp 250X back in the day. I remember it being extremely expensive, and it also had to be rebuilt after every other race or something like that...

I beleive it would cost the same as a new 400EX for the engine and like you said wouldn't last more than on TT race.

TC quoted me less than half the price of a new 400ex last February!

Of forgot.. Supposedly the 406 kit requires new cases about every year..... Not sure on the 50hp kit.

Pretty impressive site TC has there. The only thing that works is the picture of a 1992 250ex engine. I'm impressed.

The best I've seen any race shop qoute on line for a 400ex is 46 - 47 hp and that's built to the a$$ with major maintenance and reliability issues. I would like to see a link to where you can get a 250cc 4 stroke to 50hp if that's the case you would think everyone would race them because the smaller engine would be lighter. I'm not saying I don't believe you I just think it would be cool to see for myself. Don't underestimat the power of liquid cooling it is a huge asset when building a powerful engine. They've already got 47hp out of a Z400 with limited mods so I think we'll definitely see 50+ in the future. There isn't much left to add to the 400ex I did see a turbo kit that some guy in South America makes that gets 50hp on an ex but who knows what that will do to reliability and handling as well as the frame.

I have been told mine should be at least 40 Hp. Never raced a Z but it keeps up with a stock Raptor.

Just look at it this way, he is more concerned about building engines than having a website! I owuld rather have osmeone woryy about my engine more than a website! He doesn't need one anyway with a reputation like his!

I have also seen 350X's with 50HP also.. What builders are saying 46-47 Hp max(or close to it) and somewhat unreliable?

Call TC, he'll tel ya! He was pullin g50 HP out of a 250X engine back in 90-92! If I get a chance, I will call and find out about what he is gettign out of the 400ex...
