I just did an oil change on my 300ex fired it up let it warm up, I take it for a ride and the motor went bang and then locked up, I pulled it back with my Mojave, and the motor is froze. I pulled the head off and it droped a valve and smashed through the piston, and ruined my head and valves, a chunk of piston went into my bottom-end. The bad part about it is that it's 4-sale and I had a guy set up to come look at it. I won't be getting a Raptor for awhile.

Castrol GTX 20W50 same thing I've ran for 3 years, and yes I put the correct amount in. I think I can weld the head with a Tig, and let the next guy worry about it. when I pulled the head off the valve was stuck in top of the piston

 

Did you change the oil filter?

Yes I change my filter every time. I'm thinking that the person before me didn't take very good care of this machine. This thing has been a headache from day one. First it was out of time, then the cam chain broke. I thought everything was fixed and ready to sell and now this. I will never buy a Honda product.
