Default clutch adjustment

The clutch is starting to slip on my 2001 honda recon. It only seems to happen when going into fourth from thrid gear and I'm accelorating fast on it. Can this be solved by the clutch adjuster nut and if so how?

Default clutch adjustment

Take a screw driver and hold the center screw from turning while you loosen the nut with a wrench.

Now,...Turn the screw COUNTER CLOCKWISE until resistance is felt and then back off one 1/4 turn.

Then hold the screw from moving again while you tighten the nut.

If this doesn't do it, you will have to replace the centrifugal clutch shoe assembly and the hub also if it's worn from ridning with bad clutch shoes for a period of time.

I don't think the clutch is wore because it only slips once everynow and then. And I had it in for a service and tune-up this summer and the guy said the clutches were still in good shape.
Where is the adjusting screw, and how much resistance should be felt before I turn it back??
Thanks

The adjustment is on the front crankcase cover of the engine.

When you feel ANY resistance.....that's the point where you stop and go back 1/4 turn.
