yeah, it was very full it hit reserve at 40 miles then i was able to turn around and get 1/8th the way back before it went dry at 50 miles. When i get some time i will post some picts of the nasty terrain we were on. THe entire trip up the gravel was about 20% upgrade floored at 40MPH. The truck was at 500FT elevation and the top of the hill was 7,000FT then we dropped back down to 1,000 feet when i was rock hounding.

KNOWSALOT, www.servicehonda.com is where I get my pricing and ALL my parts. Why on earth would I pay more at a dealer? I can get most parts at around 30-40% off from my dealer.

I have heard of some wholsalers selling them for under a $1000, and there's nothing wrong with that. It's just that your average dealer isn't going to sell them that cheap.
You are right. I completely understand the savings from shopping with wholesalers and also know what problems usually comes with them at times. The same can be said from some dealers as well.....LOL
Whatever works.

Well I went for a ride today with some of my friends at a new place today called Mills Creek and Rubi had 2,673 miles on her and now have 2,694 miles and about 305 hours. After about twenty minutes it started to rain and we went on down the trail. We finally came to a pond and my friends and I were going through were there was some mud and then one of them who was on a honda 250 Recon went right out in the middle of it and drounded it out. We tried to get the Recon running but couldn't, so we spent four hours riding the trails and working on the Recon. The last time all of us went out, the Recon was flipped over backwards into a mudhole. Both times the Rubi has had to pull it home, if people woudn't mess crap up then I could get over 2,700 in my bike. I did like some of trails but we only went up hard trails and the recon was the only one that had trouble going up stuff before it played submarine. My only complaints was that the hard trails were not hard enough and it is a lot less fun riding on a cool rainy day with a bike srapped on behind you than it normally would be any other time.

$800-1100 isn't that bad considering my dealer wants to treat my cvt prarie tranny as a replacement item when it wore/wears out nearing 4000 miles. The drive pulley was over $300 and the driven was over $500.00. It was well over $800.00 to replace my cvt at 4000 miles (not there yet) but it's sounding pretty clapped out.

I thought the whole idea behind a CVT was to cost less when replaced and it will not be expensive as a new hondamatic tranny like the one on my Rubi. I guess that it makes tranny replacment prices harder to argue about when selecting a new atv.

Great transmission. 2700 miles no troubles. The trans is what makes the Rubicon such a great ATV. You have a choice of high and low range and three different modes in high and two in low. You have total control or let the trans just do its thing.

Keep the oil and filter changed when recommended.
