my blaster is far from stock if you read it has strut suspension on it right now for sand drags only and i run 10 paddle haulers my motor has 227lbs of copression right now with less than an hour of run time on it i run an out of frame drag pipe and i am running on race alchohol mixed 28:1 with benol racing oil the only thing limiting my horsepower is my ignition now i garantee i can beat and stock 400 and 99%piped at leastthe blaster can be made very fast i run a 35.5mm ftz alky carb with a power jet hetrick racing did additional porting to my motor after i got it back from ct it is a 72.5 mm bore with a stock stroke i run +4 advanced timing, a carbon fiber clutch and everything that can be is aluminum and unecessary parts have been removed

you do have a point with any quad can beat another
ya i'm sure you'll like the new z it should be good
and ya the fact that the blaster is older it might need a rebuild
stock blaster top speed from what i hear for a blaster is about 55mph and with toomeys its spose to be 65 according to dw
what pipe does he have
but whatever there are lots of variables

So much talk about the blasters compared to high performance quads. Ok well lets say you put on a 440 kit, new shocks, new axles the works. Thats gona cost prolly more then a 400ex. Maybe it could compete or win a drag but when ur mostly riding who cares about the drag, the blaster is a machine made mostly for beginners, when you need more power move on to a banshee, raptor, 250r, 400ex, or the z400
