i just bought a set of 22" mud machines for my 00'400. Now i have a few poeple telling me that i screwed up by getting 22's, they said that it eats up your rear bearings by running the bigger tires. Are they full of it or what? I rear dont see where that could happen. let me know your opions....

the only thing i would think it could do is wear your clutch out faster!

With bigger tires, the only reason a clutch would burn up quicker is because the larger tires make the gearing taller. If you compensate with a smaller sprocket, the clutch shouldn't wear out any faster.

You may have to gear down a bit to get your acceleration back. But the 22's are a good decision. I know my brother got "hung up" a few times on the stockers where 22's would have helped. Also, doesn't the 400EX have a heavy duty clutch??? It should be just fine.
