try a wiseco 11:1 piston, a racing cam and have a little work done on the factory carb to get it just right. my carb had about $200 worth of work done on it by tom miller motorsports.

What kind of mods are you making to those stock carbs? Is it worth it? We have had great luck with FCR carbs

200 spent on a stock carb. No wonder yuor name is nutcase, thats insane. My buddy put 50 bucks into his and it was bored and everything. Did they gold plate it? Should have spent the money and just went with the FCR.

The carb work was done before I bought the 400ex, I called TMM after i bought it and they rejet, remove the choke, and do what they call "easy flow" on it. My 400 is set up to race mx and i only run 110 octane in it. It runs great and a friend has a big bore kit on his 400 and swears mine is faster and has more low end. Hey its what was done to my 400 you don't have to do it to yours.

Go buy a 250R engine and drop it in there. No really, I'm serious.

lol thats like saying my blaster has no problem beating my dad's shee
tell you bud to get a pipe and he should no problem keeping a 400ex at bay
stock raps have like 35
piped ex's have 28 or so
even if the 400ex did manage to win it wouldn't have killed it
