Default rubicon vs rincon

I have a rubicon and am thinking about getting a rincon. Is the rincon that much better which one will last longer? I love everything about the rubicon so why change? I think the rubicon looks better. What do you guys think? I mostly trail ride.

hondabige,

If you like the Rubicon as well as you say, why change?

I am not sure if the extra money spent will be worth getting a new Rincon unless you have deep pockets and just have to have the newest machine.

Oh heck, I say keep the Rubicon.

Chet

Default rubicon vs rincon

I had a Rubicon, and loved everything about it. I hunt a mountain range in Colorado for Elk, and run 8 miles up a steep, rocky trail. After a recent surgical procedure, I felt I need a smoother ride, if I wanted to hunt my old honey hole where I had killed 4 Bulls in the past. I got the Rincon, and all I can say is WOW, WOW,WOW -- What a ride. I hardly knew the rocks were there, and this trail is very rock and deep rutted, and steep. Power galore, speed galore, cushy ride as compared to the rock and roll of the solid axle. The two wheel action is also an extra, making for easier handleing in small turn situations. The Rubicon had better downhil braking, but a tap of the rear brake coming down, and the Rincon is very adequate. The Rubicon need no adjustment for altitude, it lost about 30 % of it's power. The Rincon need the breather top taken off and stored after 7500 ft. in elevation, after that unlimited power, and the sound of a truck engine running with a header, instead of mufflers. Noisy but no power loss what so ever. In conclusion, if trail ride is all you do, the Rincon cannot be beat, by the Rubicon or any other ATV, mark my words. I have a buddy who bought the big Polaris, that said, if it just had a Honda Transmission instead of that damn belt, it might be as good. And by the way, I got my Bull again this year in that honey hole. Good riding.

I know how you feel. Rode a Rincon and loved it. Everytime we ride our Rubicon we are still so satisfied we don't see a reason to trade "up?". I would probably be more inclined to buy a Rincon if I could keep the Rubicon too, but I can't do that. One or the other. We (the wife and I) have pretty much decided so far we will wear out our Rubicon before we buy another one for us. What a great ATV. We still would like to get at least one more Rancher for the girls. The only thing I wish was any different after 2700 miles is I wish it had a larger gas tank. Other than that it suits us perfectly.
