What carb for a 310r
I'm building a 250r w/a 310 and was wondering what is the best carb-reed-cage combo to go with and what compression piston [the lower the better so it runs on pump gas] to run if you want the most bottom and mid? I am looking for woods power even though I will be using it in the dunes and desert. I am trying to build a bike that is VERY reliable as this is my "back-up / friend loaner". What do U guys think?

For low to mid power you want to go with the smaller carbs- 36mm, and pretty much any of them are good. If you can jet fairly well I'd say go with the air stryker. If you want mid to top, go for a 38-39mm carb.
Stock reed cage with stiff valves (Boyseen) = low to mid
After market reed cage with lots of flow (V-force delta) = mid to top
Not sure about compression. Exhaust-- Shorty silencer= mid to top
Long silencer= low to mid
Actual pipes-- depends on the manufacturer, I here the Eddie Sanders trx 5 is a good all around pipe.
Good luck, and enjoy the R. They truely are the best quads ever made.

if your using a pro-x cylinder, stock compression is 160lbs.
to run straight premiun gas i would think 140lbs of compression.
they recommend mixing 50/50 racing gas and premium unleaded with 160lbs compression.
i switch between a 38 air striker and a 39 pwk. i cain't really tell a difference between the two (other than the 38as is less prone to studdering over the whoop sections.
for low end power, it's hard to beat a rad vavle. i've switched to a sparks cr250 reed cage and it does not have the bottom of the rad vavle (more mid range hit and upper rpm power, but still a good amount of bottom)
the best bottom end power i have ever had was with the rad vavles and fmf fatty pipe. it was like a tractor but you had to short shift it because the power fell off quickly.
the sparks mx pipe and cr250 reed cage is faster with out a doubt, but doesn't have the down low instant power of the fatty pipe and rad vavles. hope this helps
