Did you guys hear that California is now also trying to ban wood burning stoves? They said that everyone with one will have to convert it to natural gas. What the heck are those fricken idiots trying to do out there?

It's far worse than you think. The "attempt to ban" is not statewide but is primarily confined to the LA Basin and the Silicon Valley areas and includes wood burning stoves, a ban on burning firewood (ANY wood) in your home fireplace, all charcoal barbeque grills, and all gasoline powered lawn maintenance equipment (mowers, blowers, edgers, etc). It's just ducky out here......

You are right. That is horrible. I couldn't live in a house that doesn't have a wood burning fireplace. As for the small engine, does that include ATV's? Are they planning on it since they are doing a lot of other stupid crap?

Good lord. As a hunter and avid sportsman, I know what shooting is all about. I suppose if I lived in California that they would take away my 12 ga. too? Since at 10 yards, people don't have faces. This will get shot down. If it doesn't expect to find me in Mexico, haha. But seriously, the 9th circut court is full of the most idiotic people other than half of Congress. Maybe its just my point of view, but from where I stand, and what most people aorund me see, what I think should happen is they oughta be taken somewhere, and taught to shoot. They should be shown how much fun it is to go out and fire a gun, any gun. I mean, at 3 feet, even a BB gun is high powered. I expect next year the topic will be "People or no people in California", and the argument there is that people cause polution, and killings, and all that other BS. If they want to come take my gun and ATV, crap, if they want to take anything of mine, I welcome them to. As long as I can give them what they are asking for in a 3 1/2 Number 4 Hevi Shot Nitro. If they take away guns, crime will soar. People every day protect others by carrying guns. My dad carries a .25 caliber pistol with him at all times, and its because he can, and because he doesn't want to have his truck stolen. When I am old enought to get a conceled gun license, I am going to. Next, I will go to California and fire off 9 shots outside of the 9th Circut court building. Then walk away. See what they say then, har har har. Well, by then, hopefully California will have a governor that can appoint new people higher up that can better influence the voters. Or let California be its own country, then we can bomb the 9th Circut Court building, and reinstate California as a state. I like my idea here, haha.

It won't get better, it will only get worse. The UN is pressing for civilian disarmament. Anyone who supports the UN should really look into what they stand for.

Look into history and you will notice that every despot or tyrant started with gun registration, then limiting the evil "assault" guns to "protect the public", then a full out confiscation that began with the citizens that registered the guns to begin with. the reason that "assault" rifles are deemed so dangerous in the eyes of the liberal, is that they can be used with great efficiency. How many times have we seen our modern soldiers carrying single shot rifles? The point is clear.

The American Revolution was started when the British were marching to Concorde to confiscate the colonies firearms. Are times so different now?

What condition is the US in when citizens take up arms to stop the flood of illegal aliens into our country through the border states, and communists sit in our courts and debate the legality of their actions?

What condition is the US in when citizens are compelled to call police to protect them since firearms are illegal to carry, yet are told by our courts that police have no legal or moral obligation to protect them.

What condition is the US in when our elected "leaders" decide to limit the rights a citizen has instead of citizens limiting the powers our leaders have?

Have we joined a local militia to show our support for what we believe? Have we joined a citizens action group? Have we even called or emailed our representatives to voice our displeasure?

Benjamin Frankin once stated that he who is willing to give up freedom for security will possess neither.
How many freedoms are we going to give up before we say enough is enough? Complain all you want, but what are you willing to do about it?

For most of us, probably not much.

For all the words in here, there is precious little action.

 

The Ninth District isn't just California.

I know a lot of people really like to rag on my home state, but as a 4th generation native, it burns me up, but, if it makes you feel better about yourself to rag on it, go ahead. I've been in over 40 states and have found no reason to rag on them.

The Ninth District covers the following: Alaska, Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Guam and Hawaii.

Judges are appointed by the President with Congressional approval.

Now, maybe the main court building is in San Francisco, but the judges don't necessarily come from here.

I have seen a ruling from the Fifth District where the judges ruled that the Second Amendment does give the individual the rights to guns, but it covers Fifth District only. The case needs to be appealed all the way to the Supreme Court where we can hopefully get a definitive ruling on the Second Amendment.

As a gun owner, I really hope this happens.

Now, why don't you all quit spelling California with a "K" 'cause it isn't true that we're a bunch of commies. Go to any state and go to the largest city. Guess what you'll find? Look at a map at the last Presidential election. The more urban the more Democrat, the more rural the more Republican. All across the country in every state, that's the way it is. California happens to have a lot of people jammed along the coast, and that's where they voted Democrat (except where I live, Orange County, major Republican stronghold), while the rest of the state went Republican.

Besides, where are all these assult rifle crimes going on? I think I missed em. Last time I checked an assult rifle is a LOW CALIBER rifle made to wing people. Technically its the middle ground between a rifle and a pistol.

You're not the only state in the union that doesn't allow those nasty "assualt weapons". It's not your fault that the sheeple out number citizens a million to one in your state. I personally love to pick on other states where the sheeple keep electing idiots (like Mass., NY, NJ, MD, etc...) because they will promise to do something for them personally. These sheeple will never learn about how to take care of themselves. They want a "mommie" state to do it for them.

Yeah, you're right about the sheeple in the cities electing democraps. That is exactly why the good people of PA are stuck with "pig head" Ed Rendell for the next four years. Only major metropolitan areas voted for this idiot, the rest of the state voted for Fisher.
