DG_300EX,
Can't you discuss a topic without using profanity? Try and display some maturity! Some younger members of the forum would like to be able to read this forum. Then again there is no doubt you are one of the younger members of this forum.

Who care's, both machines are very similar. I have owned both and they are almost identical in speed. Remember the 300EX is only stroked a little over the 250 to make for the extra weight from the electric start, honda wanted to keep it almost identical in speed, and the 300EX is also detuned with a less radical cam than the 250 also. Thus I actually liked feel of the stock 300 over the stock 250 due to the extra torque, but it weighs more and I could feel that at first. But then if my 250X hadn't been stolen I wouldn't have gotten the 300EX, but my friend who was a salesman at a dealership new what situation I was in at the time and gave me a deal I couldn't turn down on a mint 300EX that was traded in. Some people like racers prefere the 250 because you can increase compression more, and less weight, but others prefere the electric start. In my oppinion, maybe Honda should offer both models, so you could choose what you want, even if you had to special order one. But other than that they are too close to even worry about compairing...
Also, two exact quads with riders of different weight and/or skill levels will cause one to be faster than the other, so don't give me these stroies of how your's beat the other, making it THE BETTER MACHINE when they are almost IDENTICAL in stock trim. So, in your oppinion, being that I have never finished less the 4th in TT style racing with both a stock powered 250X and 300EX against full race 250R's and Banshee's make the 250X and 300EX the more superior and faster quads. DEFINITLY NOT, my 250R will run circles around the 250X and 300EX I used to ride; at least with me on it...

Next time I'll look at every page first, but RangerSX have you even looked at a stock 250X carburator? They are no 36mm, I can't remember if a 29mm is even right, and I know I've had a stock one bored out by Curtis Sparks, if I remember right it ended up being a 29-29_1/2mm when done, I may be a little off there, but it was a few years back, but a stock 250X could never handle a 36mm carb. For example, I run 39mm carb on my fully built 330R, let alone a 36mm carb on a bone stock 248cc 4-stroke.
