Honda 400EX or Suzuki z400???HELP!
Well, The Z is faster and more powerful, but if you are a hotrodder, I've been watching that forum. Axles on the Z tend to bend and a couple guys are recently complaining of as many as 4 different areas of the frame that are cracked and they are having to weld! I'm a polairs guy myself, but Honda would come 2nd in my book just for sheer reliability. I ride polaris for the fast 4x4's, please don't hold it against me honda guys

Honda 400EX or Suzuki z400???HELP!
How much do you have to spend after you get the bike? Suzuki dose not want to back anything on the bike. The parts for the Z400 are two to three times the price of the 400EX. What is so good about liquid cooling if you do not race? It is just another thing to go wrong. Honda may not have all the bells and whistles of the other quads but in the long run it will still be running and ready to ride again!!

Honda 400EX or Suzuki z400???HELP!
well the EX doesn't have those grippy rear tires.... is way more reliable, and have you heard about the swing-arms "bucking" potential on the Z.... along with weak axles, cracking frames, etc.?
I don't know....
if you want the best handling get an EX....
if you want the best power, get a Raptor...
the Z is good all-around, but best at nothing
I ride a 400EX.... and love it, but if I had 6 or 7 grand to blow, I'd get a Raptor, reverse the front rims, get rear wheel spacers, and FMF PowerCore 4Q slip on, and a K&N jet kit.... it should fix the handling problems, and no stock quad would run with it, yet it would still be quiet and reliable.

The Z is a better buy, handling is just as good, liquid cooling is great even out on the trail when you are going slow speeds, not just for racing, and how often do you hear of liquid cooling going bad? Not often enough to worry. As far as reliability, the Z400 has been out long enough to know, but the motor is proven, so you can't say the 400EX is way more reliable yet. Suzuki did back the axle's so far on the Z400, so they are backing it, just as much as Honda does. Even Honda has cracked frame problems, thats a known fact. The swing arm problem is only a problem in whoops. As far as grippy tires, well that is the reason a lot of people buy Holeshots and other aftermarket tires, for added grippiness, not to mention the Suzuki has a lot of wheel spin. There have been quite a few people that own both the 400EX and Z and claim that the handling is almost the same, some even saying that the Z is better.
