Default LRD Frame

Has anyone had experience with LRD's aluminum frame yet? Just thinking about buying one and I wanted some feedback good or bad.

thanks

Check out my review of LRD's attitude frame. I picked one up in December. If you have additional questions send me an email.

Default LRD Frame

I talked to LRD earlier this week. I was surprized, yet happy to hear that LRD did some serious testing on their frames.

I am a mechanical engineer, and I do my homework on every product I ever buy. I am looking into building a 450 hybrid and talked to LRD about a frame to hold it. I was happy to hear that LRD did some serious work on the design of their aluminum frame. They didn't just build a frame that looked like a 250R and hoped it would hold up. From what the gentleman told me, their frames have been in the works for over two years now. They want to make sure it was a good product before they handed it out to the public.

Now, I am still skeptical about using aluminum. Aluminum fatigues faster than steel. It may be a great product now, but how will hold up after two or three seasons. If I am going to spend that much money, it better hold up.

Default LRD Frame

A friend of mine replaced his worn out stock frame with the LRD frame. It looks trick and seems to be well built. He said he had minor problems installing some of the parts. Not everything fit perfect...that's all the details I know.

He says he likes the frame, it's feels lighter over all. Also mentioned he had to adjust his rear shock since the frame is lighter.
