I would suggest the new Supertrapp IDS2 . I used to have the FMF Powercore IV SA but to me the Supertrapp is a better one cheaper too with better quality.

What do the discs do or provide that make them a good system to use? What is their advantage?

it is my understanding that it gives you a little flexibility in regards to power which in inversely related to noise unfortunately. i maybe wrong hopefully someone can educate us both on how this works and if it infact is advantageous

The instructions that came with my WB eSeries(which I love) explain the disks as a way to move the power band, rather than just making more power when adding disks. The more disks, the more top end power and noise. Go down in disks, and more of the power is in the low end. This may be different with other pipes, depending on thier design purpose, not sure though. anyone out there have a disk system from another manufaturer?

you hit the nail on the head. According to fmf tech...they say to use all supplies discs and no quiet core insert for the most power gains overall. They are all about the same, it just depends on your personal taste.

I just put a Supertrapp IDS2 on my 97 Suzuki King Quad.Im running 7 discs cause i dont want to have to rejet the carb yet.To my understanding the more discs you run it leans out the motor,Gives you more top end,And is more quiet.I am happy with the Supertrapp. But then again,When you own a KQ youve got two choices.Supertrapp or Cobra.
