My 400EX drips a little fuel as well when the nose gets high enough, but the Warrior runs a Mikuni carb and not a Keihn. My 2000 Warrior, which just got traded for a 2000 400EX, sometimes seeped a little gas out of the float overflow hose when rode hard or when hill climbing, but not a whole lot. If the Warrior is running okay, I wouldn't worry about the float adjustment on it--it's probably fine.

thanks. Yes my warrior runs great. It's a 98, which my son rides now that I got the 400ex. What was the big factor that made you trade the same model year, that was fast!!

When I bought my Warrior I had decided between it and a 300EX, but no dealers in my area had any EX's of any kind, so being a novice went with the Warrior. After having it about two weeks I ran into someone with a 400EX and got a chance to ride it, and that's all it took.

Don't get me wrong though, my Warrior ran flawlessly and I didn't have a single problem with it, but it just wasn't what I wanted even though I replaced the stock tires with a set of Bandit's, White Bros. E-Series pipe, Pro Flow air filter system, and torque stuffer--it had plently of power but the suspension sucked over the whoops and stuff. I guess I could have replaced the front shocks with a set of TCS shocks, but by then my mind had been set on the 400EX and I just had to have one. I also figured that if/when I mod the 400EX I'll improve on an already great quad (and have an awesome machine for the next 2-3 years), instead of modding the Warrior to make it an acceptable sport/trail machine. Besides, both of my boys run Honda's (TRX-90 and XR-100R)...so now my garage is "all red". :>)

My sons warrior is now in need of a new air filter. You said you got a pro flow air filter sys. How much was that? What does it consist of? I'm trying to decide if its worth getting new stock stuff or aftermarket air filter system. What comp. did you get it though? Later

My 300EX pukes gas also when ridden hard. It would be nice to be able to route that back into the tank somehow.

Well, that was my first trip.....

We are going for Snake weekend, apparently last year they had around 6,000 people show up. I have also heard that Easter weekend is very busy.

My bike was (and still is for the most part) completely stock. Really the only difference was I added a crossbar to the stock handlebars, rear wheels off my 250R, and a new set of Holeshots. My preload was maxed out on the front suspension, and I hadn't touched the adjustments on the rear.

I have a set of TCS shocks for the front on the way, they should be here before Snake hunt weekend, hopefully they will let me really air it out!
