Default 450ES VS. Rubicon VS. Rincon

I have a 2001 450ES. I don't like the back suspension. Does Rubicon have independent suspension? I know rincon does.

I use the 450 for Plowing snow and it does a good job. But when your on the trail it knocks the hell out of my bad back.

From the articles i have been reading in Rincon it says that its good for ridding by not so good at working.
So i wonder am i better off with a Ruby or Rincon.

Any input would be great.
Joe

You can always try a set of shocks from Works, they are available from most ATV outfitters, Dennis Kirk has great information on these shock on their site, although their prices are much higher than anywhere else. Apparantly there are 2 different rear shocks available, depending on your weight, and 3 options for the front, 2 are the same as the rear, the other is designed for plow applications. All springs are progressive wound so that ride quality is improved, but load capacity is not changed.

The Rubicon has a swing arm rear suspension. It does however have a nicer ride than the 450 does. The Rincon deffinatly has a nicer ride than any Honda.

I have a 450 & Rubi. The Rubi does have a little better ride, but its still on the stiff side, which is what makes it such a good farm and work quad.I have test rode a Rincon and it has one of the best rides and handling there is,so if its the ride your after the Rincon is your machine. The only worry I would have with the Rincon is the lack of low range for heavy towing & slow work crawling speeds.Maybe someone with a Rincon can fill us in on its work potential.

I know the Rincon rides better. I'm just concerned thats its underpowered for working.

Both High Lifter and AD-Boivin make suspension upgrade kits in the $100 - $200 range that, I am told make a huge difference in the ride quality of the Foreman. Seems like its worth that as opposed to dumping $2000-$3000 grand to upgrade the quad, that is of course if you are happy with the power and speed of the 450. If the Foreman 450 is to slow or underpowered for you in addition to the hard ride then go with the quad upgrade.

Personally I like the hard ride it makes it corner very flat and power slide well, as oppossed to the Kodiak 450 that turns like a 76 AMC Pacer, can you say body lean.
