Default 2001 Honda 400EX CAM change??

I have an "01" Honda 400EX with a K&N, White Bros. E Series Pipe, 2 Sizes up on main jet, and moved the clip down on the needle and it runs great, but still not the power that it could really have so my next step is a New CAM. Which CAM is the best for this setup? What is common, reliable and is there any more modifications I could make or should make??

Also, do I need to change my pilot jet? What would it help??

Thank you!

It seems most guys bump up the pilot to a 42. It helps with starting the bike. If you're going to throw a cam in there, you should also at least put in a stock bore high compression piston (w/ 11:1 compression.). Buy heavy duty clutch springs (for about $30), and consider beefing up your valve-train. That combination, and you will have a very noticeable gain in power. Bumping up the compression is all you really need to do. Another thing to consider is if you put in a cam, go with a hotcam...or you will end up having to get hard-faced rockers, and that isn't cheap.
