Default Washing

When I wash my 300ex i like to take off the back plastic to wash under them. Then i relize i have tons of mud and sorts of things all around the airbox. I was wondering if it is bad to directly spray the sirbox with a hose? I havent done it yet but it makes cleaning my batterie and the top little crevices a pain. Thanks is advance.

The stock filter set up on the 300 ex breaths through the frame.

I would say a very low pressure spray wouldn't hurt anything as long as everything is buttoned up tight with the air filter assembly.

One thing you could do is go and get your tooth brush for those little crevices to help lift the dirt out while spraying with the low pressure. Its the high pressure washers that works the water past the seals.

A little grit when you bring your tooth brush back inside will get rid of those ugly tarter stains so its a double edged benefit.

Shiny quad and great looking teeth.

I don't usually spray the airbox directly. I will lighlty hit it, then proceed to clean it with my rag and soap. I have never had any problems with anything getting into my airbox. You'll be alright.
