Default Painting the plastics.

I will just ask the experts...I am interested in painting the plastics on my 400ex. I am looking for advice on what type of prep work and what type of paint I should use. Any help would be appreciated.

I really think you should use stickers, but if you want to paint it , so be it. if I remember all the steps , you can start off buy scuffing the surface with a scotchbrite pad( new and clean) you can wash down the plastic with rubbing alcohol. then prime and spray, I know that some enamels will flex well enough to stand up the constant flexing, but I would ask that you check with some pro's , and get more info.I have been away from it for about 10 years.

Painting can be done.... but you need to consult some professional help...
I know for a fact that you MUST add a flex-addative or it will fall off in sheets! The flex-addative helps to keep it pliable and bend with the plastic as it moves.

I've seen some pretty trick paint jobs, but the others are right... it will eventually crack and peel.
One good roll over is all it takes.
