does the stage 1 hot cam add much difference
to a stock 400ex?????????
is $129.00 a good price????

i have a little money to spend on my quad,
and it's driving me crazy deciding what to get for it.

any help is appreciated.........

 

You should see a little difference with just the cam. The popular mod for a big gain seems to be a higher compression piston, and a Hotcam stage II.


$129 is about the going price. You'll see them on ebay for $116

 

a HotCam stage II makes a really nice difference. The torque it adds is beauty! Moto-Man has them for $125. The good thing about Hotcam is that you dont have to send your core and you can use stock springs and rockers.
