Most of us that has had a 300 now have 400's. CALM DOWN!!!!

 

I have a 97 300ex and my cousin has a 99 400ex and his buddy has 2000 400ex on the trails I could barely see them there were so far back trying to figure out how did he et that far u[p there and after the ride they said that I had to have some serios motor work done on my 300ex. all it has is a dynojetg kit and K&N filter and outerwear I also removed the air box lid have any of U 300ex owners removed the airbox lid to did the exhaust note get real throuty like loud mine has a crack in the exhaust so that might be why. any way 400ex owners u CAN PRACTICE AND PRACTICE AND PRACTICE AND u STILL CAN'T BEAT ME!!!!!!!!

and i own a stock 300ex and ill put money that it will spank ur 400ex around a track ive beaten many of them

 

OK first of all i have a 98 300ex and a 87 trx 250R
The 300ex is better than the 400ex for trail riding and such purposes as that also the 300ex starts better in the winter and i would say is a blast to ride and as for all these cocky 400ex riders bring it over sometime and i will roost u with my 250R

400ex's are a good bike but it seems more and more dick heads are riding them

 

u wanna talk about the forgotten quad..What about the 250r ..i mean whats honda STUPID!!... they should of came back out with a 250r instead of the 400 becuz that could whoop a 400 ex all over the place..its been regarded as the best quad ever made!! but noo of course all good things have to come to an end and we are stuck byin the used 1's.........HONDA WAKE UP!!!!!!!

P.S. i am proud too say i am a 100% RED RIDER i ride a 300ex with KN filter jet kit FMF power core pipe high compresiion piston been ported and polished all for low end, pep shocks extended back axle umlimeted rev limiter prm a-arms other stuff and guaranteed it will give a 400 a run for its money ..depending on the rider of course.

can't we all just get along i mean we all do RIDE RED!!!!!
a 400ex is just a big brother but the bigger u are the harder u fall!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

i totally agree the 250r is the forgotten atv but not with aftermarket companies. The 250r rules the roost anyday any time anywhere I don't understand why honda doesn't come out with a new new 250r with the same motor more suspension travel but every thing else the same. the dealers would not be able to keep them in stock just .like when the 400ex came out only triple I am sure a lot of honda riders went to yamaha because honda no longer had a 2 stroke atv. I personaly own a 86 trx250r U can read the mods in another reply in this topic.

250r, i don't think would beat an EX (300 or 400), in the woods.. but i may be wrong. It's the rider not the bike. my theory was always 2 stroke = dunes, and 4 stroke = woods. My $0.02

i hate to say it but a 250r would beat a 300 ex or 400ex on tight trails.ive got a 250x witch is very similar to the 300ex.it wouldn't beat a 250r.
