Default 00 Foreman 400

Im going to help my brother in law fix his Foreman this weekend. Its a 2000 and has 500 miles on it, about 80 hours. Doesnt get used to hard. He has gone through spark plugs fouling out and had to replace them a few times. This time thats not it, wont fire, nothing. Smells like fuel, gets a spark, no go. Pulled it forever, didnt even try to turn over on its own. I dont think its ever had the air filter cleaned so im going to start there, then look at the carb, and so on. Anybody know any tricks to theese? Thanks.

If you have no spark look check the voltage regulator. If it goes bad it will not run. Had a 5 of the 400's go bad.

Thanks for the reply. With the plug out of the hole, it has a spark, but who knows when its soaked in gas and screwed in, could be weak regulator I guess. Should have a good look at it Sunday, I will post the fix in case anyone cares. Thanks.

Make sure you have a good fully charged battery in it. Also make sure the choke cable\plunger is closing properly. Use a new spark plug, rather than cleaning your old. If it's been sitting around a long time, you may end up doing a carb clean.
