Welcome to the club. I think getting a stuck swingarm bolt out of a 250R is almost like a rite of passage. EVERYONE ends up doing it eventually. I personally went the sawzall route and it sucked.

Good luck!

When you go to buy a new swing arm pivot bolt, buy the one for the 400EX, it's the same bolt and from service honda it's $19 bucks!!

Take it out once a year and grease it. It'll slide out for you every time, no problems.

So this is true for ALL years of 250Rs? 1986-89?

If so, I'm definately going to order one!

Yes, the 400EX bolt will work just fine for all 4 years of the R. The only difference is the head is shaped a little differently. I just installed one in my quad.

Before you install your new pivot bolt, go to your auto parts store and buy a bottle of anti seize lubricant and lube the bolt up real good before you install it.
