Default Front Diff Locl for 03 Foreman 450s

Can anyone email me a method that works on how to lock the front diff on the foreman 450s it is a 03 model

Also if anyone knows of or has a diagrahm of the front diff on the foreman please send it to me. I need to know the componets of it and a breakdown diagrahm.

You can weld the carrier gears and that will lock it. Not sure what it looks like but I know a few people with foreman's have done it and other than excessive tire wear and larger turning radius it seems to work. I personally would go with a Detroit Gearless Locker from Hilifter.

Your bike should have a limited slip from the factory. Jack up the front of the bike and turn 1 front wheel. If the other wheel turns in the same direction the limited slip is there, not to say it could be worn out though.

I found mine lasted about 2 years from new before I noticed that the wheels no longer locked.

With this unit, applying front brakes will help slow the spinning wheel and get the wheel with traction to turn. As this unit wears, it will no longer lock both wheels.

For an upgrade, I'd reccommend a detroit locker from www.highlifter.com.

Ideally I'd love to see an upgrade kit so with a cable operated locker like on the Prarie 650. Probably never see that happen though!!!
