I have used both V-force and Pyramid reeds. In my opinion, V-forces are the best. I feel as if Boysen has been pased up by the competition. They need to get back into the game. Just my 2 cents.

I have used almost all of the reed setups. By far the best is the V-force. If you are going to purchase a used set make sure that the reed stops are the updated ones. They are usually black. The old style is bad about breaking reeds. Also run the reed stop in the setting with the least amount of tension.

Between Boyesen and V-force I would choose the V-force but the Pyramid reeds will give better low-end power as well as midrange and topend power. If you are going with either the Boyesen or the V-force then it also helps to run a spacer under the reed cage... You shouldn't run it with the Pyramid reeds though.

V-Force. Second best decision I have made besides buying my 250r.
