EGV is (I believe) the fine wire type that is supposed to resist oil fouling.
If your motor is jetted correctly, you shouldn't need it.
Also get the "R" rated plugs eg. "BR8ES" As opposed to B8ES.
The resitor will give electrical protection against damage to modern electronics such as the CDI box.
