Yep... I was gonna get a banshee, but I came across a clean first year all original 250R that I couldnt pass up.
Its completely stock, from the un-cut fenders, (not for long he he) to the red and blue "250R" stickers down the fenders. (also, not for long) It got its first hone/top end job last year, and compression feels real good.
suspention is tight, ect. also new tires. (included 4 douglas wheels with no paddles on them also)

Two things... the clutch is VERY GRABBY. Like... nothing.. nothing.. nothing... BAM! It doesnt slip though..
Another thing.. it has a very slight oil leak out of the shifter o-ring seal.

Other than these two things, its awsome.
I picked it up for $2500.

This will be an awsome bike to improve my riding ability and jumping. (compaired to my zilla)

Congrats on the new bike. About the clutch, your first mod should be getting the '88 clutch update. I cost about $60 and updates the 86, 87 ball bearing clutch lifter to the much better 88, 89 style with a needle bearing. This makes the clutch work way better.

Also, be causeful because if you have no play in the 86, 87 clutch cable the ball bearing will seize, then it will start turning the rod which will wear a groove in the lifter arm. Basically get the 88 updateras soon as possible.

Because I want something reliable, so I dont have to worry that my quad might not run the whole weekend...

Its actually faster (completely stock) than I thought it would be. I am pleasantly surprized.

I used to have a 350x, They are still the most reliable bike i have ever owned. I miss it more than anything. I had hot pink plastic on it, and nice fat padla brats on the back. It was beautiful.
