Im not happy! When I first start my 300 she smokes like a 20 year old Briggs and Stratton! When it warms up it goes away. It is blue smoke so it is oil! I have only 30 hours on it and I changed the oil at 15 with Honda oil and filter. It has not consumed any yet. I dont know, did sitting for 2 weeks have anything to do with it? I really don't think so. I guess it's time to talk to the boys at Honda! Anyone have this happen?

 

If its been 30hrs, take it to the dealer and let them fix it under warrenty.

 

did u put the oil filter in with the oil seal facing out if not it will starve ur engine from oil

and when u broke it in how hard did u ride it

 

Good point royboy i saw this happen while we were riding with that oil filter filpped around you can really do some serious damage. Especially if you dont notice that you have it in backwards 15 hrs later. Also if it is a new bike its almost time for your first valve alinement take it to the dealer
