went to change the oil on a 400 we just got. the person that changed it before ran the plug in crooked.when we tried to unscrew it the plug brought the threaded metal part of the tank with it. otherwise i have a hole now and no threads. is there a fix or do i have to spring for a new tank ??

 

Could you get by with an expandable rubber plug, you might be able to get one at a hardware store.

 

actually i just lucked out. a gu i knew that was parting his 400 out jut e-mailed me and said he would take $ 25 for his tank

 

get a pingry's oil tank it bigger and it also has built in air vents so it will cool it down while riding it costs a pretty good amout but they are worth every penny
