Whats Good About A 300EX
#2
I'm planning on getting one soon and while I don't have one, I've been researching for months. From the thing's I have read, it is EXTREMELY reliable, as are all Honda's. It has great low end punch but not much on the top end. The reverse procedure is very inconvenient and time consuming. However, it has a light front end, which is great for hopping over trail obstacles. It is very stable in the air and has very quick, responsive handling. It doesn't require as much maintenance as something like the Yamaha Warrior (which I have also been researching). I haven't read about any other real problems 300EX owners have experienced. The only complaint I've heard is that it can be cramped for rider's over 6 feet tall. Another good aspect is that it is VERY modifiable. Just my two cents, hope it hepls!

I've ridden a 300ex for several years now and I love it. It's smaller than most other sport quads - but I'm a smaller rider so the size is fine for me. It jumps pretty well and does pretty well in mud. (I made it through all the mudholes that a Z400 got stuck in). It's not blazing fast but it's pretty quick. I got a Curtis Sparks exhaust system - that helped with the speed. It has been very reliable - only a few minor problems here and there. It handles great on tight trails and feels steady on steep hills and off-camber spots.
In other words, I have no complaints about mine!

No complaints here either except watch the frame around the shock mounts if you plan to jump hard at all, I just found two large crack in mine that we had to weld back up, and also, I dont know if I am the only one but my rear brake fluid holder has a lot of cracks in it. Other than that, I agree pretty much with TrailBreaker70.
