Advice on ITP Mudlites ... Please!
#1
I am looking at these tires for my 2003 Honda 450 S. I would like to know about the performance in snow, trail riding, sand, and loose terrain. Also I heard that these were made from the same compound as the 589's. If that is true then any info on the tread wear would also be helpful. Do they have a rim protector? Thanks for any replies.

I have been selling them for about six months now and have no complaints about the tires. I live here in WV. And we had some good snows and real good mud this year and the ones that have bought them have said they worked real well in those condition. Do not use any tire wider than ten inches on the front or back and they will work great.

Why do you prefer the Mudlights over the 589 MS tires? I was considering the Mudlights, but I went with the solid tread of the 589MS I put the 589 MS on my Foreman and they work great. Regardless of what you get, consider sticking with stock size tires. I stuck with the stock sizes steering is as easy as the stock tires. The acceleration is stronger initially, because the tread really digs in. Never the less, as for the Mudlights, nobody I know who has them, has any complaints about them at all. It's a good choice too.
